About The Course
Wildlife Rescue Training – Join Tasmania’s Largest Wildlife Rescue Network
Are you passionate about helping Tasmania’s native wildlife? Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary offers free Wildlife Rescue Training to equip you with essential skills to assist animals in need.
This comprehensive 6-hour training session covers:
- Safe handling of injured animals
- Checking pouches for joeys
- Identifying common species in need of rescue
- Creating your own rescue kit for emergencies
Who Can Join?
Whether you’re ready to become an on-call Wildlife Rescuer or just want to gain practical knowledge for wildlife emergencies, this training is for you! There’s no obligation to join the rescue network after completing the session, but you’ll leave with invaluable skills.
What’s Involved in Being a Rescuer?
As a Wildlife Rescuer, you’ll receive alerts via WhatsApp for rescues in your area. Simply respond when available—no pressure if you can’t assist.
