Wildlife Network Tasmania is dedicated to improving the lives of wildlife and all who care for them.

About WNT

At Wildlife Network Tasmania, we believe that every wild life matters—and so does every wildlife volunteer.

Our role is to support and strengthen the people who rescue, rehabilitate, and release Tasmania’s injured and orphaned animals.

We are here to listen, to advocate, and to help build the skills, connections, and confidence our sector needs to thrive.

Our vision is a compassionate network where carers feel valued and equipped, and where every animal receives the expert care it deserves.

Join Us

Wildlife Network Tasmania is more than an organisation—it’s a community of people who care.

Whether you rescue animals, provide care, drive joeys to vet appointments, sew pouches, or simply want to make a difference, you’re welcome here.

We bring together volunteers, advocates, and supporters to share knowledge, build skills, and uplift one another.

By joining WNT, you become part of a growing movement that believes in kindness, connection, and the collective care of our wild neighbours.

Our Impact

We are working to create a future where wildlife carers feel seen, supported, and empowered.

By growing volunteer numbers, providing practical resources, and advocating for better systems, WNT is helping make wildlife care more sustainable.

We’re building partnerships, expanding access to training, and laying the groundwork for a shared virtual hub.

Every connection we strengthen, every carer we support, and every life we help save is a step toward a more resilient, compassionate sector.

Turn compassion into action

Be Their Second Chance

Tasmania is the roadkill capital of the world, with over 500,000 native animals killed on our roads each year—one every two minutes.

But for the injured and orphaned who survive, there’s still hope.

Every day, wildlife carers across the state step in to offer that second chance.

With over 17,000 rescue calls annually, help is urgently needed.

Be the reason they make it home.
